What if the Stratosphere won’t even show up in Device Manager in XP? I mean completely missing (no Xs or ?s at all).

go to ur settings menu after u plug the usb from ur phone to ur machine and select usb settings,,,u will have the option to either use as a mobile hotspot or as a mass storage device
